North County Bluegrass & Folk Club

The San Diego North County Bluegrass & Folk Club has been bringing bluegrass and folk to North County for over two decades. On the first Tuesday of every month it hosts a free night of live music at Round Table Pizza in Escondido, with a featured local or touring band. On the third Wednesday the same room becomes an open acoustic jam that starts at 6:30 and tends to run a few hours.

Twice a year the club holds campouts built around jamming, casual workshops, a potluck, and an evening concert or band scramble. It also produces the occasional concert around San Diego County and puts out a monthly newsletter, The Broadcast, listing bluegrass and folk events across Southern California. From 2003 to 2021 it co-created the Summergrass festival in Vista.

Events are open to the public. Membership is optional and mostly a way to support the music.
